SALE SLAM, gives you an opportunity to showcase your on-spot creativity and explore the dynamics of selling anything. So, this OJASS’24 be ready to outsmart others at the snap of your fingers. This event tests the skill of participants to sell a product. Participants will be assigned a certain product that they have to sell in front of the audience and fellow participants cum opponents.

Here is a framework you can use for building your sales pitch Problem - Value Statement-Why should we buy it-Proof Points-Perfect tagline to ensure that customer buys the product. Nonetheless, you are free to use any framework or set of ideas. Here are some of the products you may be asked to sell: (This is sample list to make participant get an idea of what they should expect) Toilet paper rolls, used cold drink Cans, Used perfume bottles, Sweaters with holes/ Clothes Flow of the event: After the registration is completed, the teams will be joined in a WhatsApp group and they will be assigned a product one day before the event. The teams are allowed (although not mandatory) to make at max 1 slide presentation. After each presentation, the contestant shall be open to questions and trash talks from fellow opponents and audience present.
Rules
The team strength should be 1-2.
There will be no changes in the product once assigned to a team.
The sales pitch shall be around 2 minutes followed by 5 minutes of Q&A session.
Marking shall be done based on the sales pitch and effective handling of the Q&A session. Brownie points are also associated with teams asking good questions during Q&A sessions.
Team can make 1 slide presentation.
Teams are allowed to bring any sample of the product. The point is to make your product interesting and sellable.
The decision of the Event heads will be considered final.
